Are they comfortable?
They felt good right away. No-show socks help with the break-in period, especially since they reduce sweat. Top-quality leather, so it’s much more easy than breaking in fake leather. Bonus, they’re already softened so your feet just adjust easily.
How durable are they?
Because they already have scuffs, I didn’t worry about getting them dirty. I’ve worn them all over NYC, and they’ve held up beautifully. The laces are intact, and the structure feels strong. Since the aesthetic is distressed, I don’t really notice if there’s new wear and tear.
How do they compare to other sneakers?
They’re the highest quality sneakers I have. I love my Vejas and Tretorns, but Golden Goose wins in both comfort and quality. There’s a secret wedge inside that adds a little height — making your legs look longer. Not to mention, they’re handmade in small batches, so each pair is one of a kind. And the shine on mine? Stunning.
Are they worth it?
Yes! Just try not to pay full price. They’re expensive, so getting them on sale is smarter. They’re worth the investment, especially if you pick something you’ll wear a lot. I went bold with sparkle, but a minimalist version would also go with everything.
